Play around with it, you cant really learn by book, it will board you and confuse you to death...I also learn by playing and using it...take up slowly...

haha. just open photoshop, go to filter > liquify. and then you can edit all you like(make eyes bigger, make face slimmer etc), like those pics up there.

Indeed, you need a professional in detecting all this kind of hoax...I learn before it though...its quite fun...there is this programme that will detect repetition of pixel colour and tell whether that part was patch in photoshop or not...as a picture is made up of resolution, and pixel, each small box contain a string of colour data that will link the surrounding box, if it is a broken link, it means the photo have been modified before.

Second way to look is the lighting, as a realistic photo will not have a repetition of colour code, (as light is bright to dark) gradient will occur...if the gradient is not smooth, meaning the photo have been altered.

There are alot more ways to detect....wont say so much here... ^^ if not all would be falling asleep...XD
