Started about 50 years ago with only 10 crocodiles, the Tan family saw the value of crocodile skins and begin trading these processed skins. At the farm, learn about the many types of crocodiles and their differences. See how the skins of these reptiles are processed and transformed in beautiful handbags and accessories adorned by many stylish individuals. You might even wish to bring home some leather goods or crocodile delicacies. Admission is free.

Visit the farm between 9am to 11am to catch a first hand experience of the inquisitive goats exuding their creamy goodness. Milking demonstrations and briefings are held daily at 9am, 930am, 10am & 10.30am for visitors to better appreciate and understand the origin of this au natural beverage. Fresh bottled milk in both original and chocolate flavours are available for only $2.50 onwards. Admission is free.

Upon arrival, be welcomed by the bullfrog 'orchestra' as you set foot to catch sight of over 20,000 frogs reared on a 1.5 acre land. Segregated by species and different stages of development, the frogs are kept happy in concrete pens with a continuous water supply. Frog cuisine lovers will be delighted by the fresh whole frogs, frog legs and the farm's special frong essence on sale. Admission is free. Guided tour with bottle of frog essence: $3.50

Spread over 2.7 hectares, LWH Quail Farm is the only farm in Singapore that produces game birds, eggs, and meat locally. Quails and other interesting breeds like Partridge, Cassowary, Peacock, Silkywhite Chicken, etc, play to form the feathery concert on this farm. Pop in on a Sunday to savour the various types of delicious herbal soups you can cook with the fresh quails and eggs they have on sale.
*Due to precautionary measures towards the bird flu, the farm is currently closed to public.

Hidden in an area near the famous prata stall for about 5 years, this cosy getaway off Jalan Kayu provides solace from the bustling concrete jungle life. Home to some fishes, chickens, rabbits, a goat and a horse, let your kids or the child within enjoy the innocence of the animals. Give a token donation to receive some animal feed - a gesture that reminds me of the trusting, non-commercialised world that seems to have vanished. Admission is free.
The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum Jurong Gardens

Admission charge: $5 (Adult), $3 (Child & Senior Citizen)
Get up close and personal with over 200 turtles and tortoises from over 60 species. Enjoy feeding these armoured creatures in their habitat and feel the intricate patterns on the shells they call home. Be sure to spot the one-in-a-million tortoise with 2 heads and 6 legs. Be sure not to lose your fingers to the most dangerous Alligator Snapping Turtle among others.

One of the largest suppliers of fresh eggs on the island, Seng Choon switched from pig farming to chicken rearing after the former was disallowed in Singapore. At Seng Choon, strict quality control is placed on chicken feed, right down to the harvesting to ensure that the freshest nutrition-enriched eggs are delivered. With their new instant eggs, fanatics can now relish fresh braised eggs at their convenience.

Yeo Aquarium

Behind the quaint detached house lies a tranquil pond, where the peaceful water mirroring the pale blue sky leaving no clues of slippery scales of 'Snakeheads' dwell on the muddy bed. Known for their ability to heal wounds and rejuvenate the body, the 'San Yu' is often used in tonic soups and Chinese stir-fries. Going at about $6.30 onwards per kg for a whole live snakehead and $16 onwards per kg for fresh snakehead fillet, be sure to buy some of this delicious fish home.
