Dear ME students,
I am a lecturer from EE Division. We are organizing two overseas programmes and if you are interested, you are welcome to join our trips too.
Ngee Ann Poly gives our students an opportunity to go for an overseas trip with subsidy. It is with this subsidy that we want to give our students an opportunity to learn beyond the classrooms. Pls reply my email if you would like to register for this trip.Every NP student can be subsidized once. If in doubt with subsidy matter, call me.
Pls reply my email indicating your interest and we will follow up with you on the registration forms soon. If you want to register as a group , you are most welcome too. As the trips were quite well received, book early to avoid disappointment.

1) Event : EE Nature Camp in Tioman Island, Malaysia (76 students and 4 staff)
Date : 4 Day 3 Night (26-29 Aug 2008) 1st week of the holiday.
Cost : $300 but NP subsidies 50%, so you pay $150 (include transport, meals, accommodation in chalet, programmes)
Programme : Tioman is one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia and it visitors go to this exotic island to see coral and marine life. It is an eye opening experience for you to snorkel in the crystal clear sea water to see the colourful corals while the marines fishes of all types swim around. the theme for this nature camp is adventure and leadership.

2) Event : Youth Expedition Project (28 students and 2 staff)
Date : 14 Day 13 Night (8-21 Sept 2008 ) 3th & 4th week of the holiday
Cost : $950 but NP subsidies 50% , so you pay $475 (include airfare, land transport, all meals, accommodation in the village, programmes)
This is an overseas community service project. We are going to a beautiful village called Anxi in Fujian Province, near Xiamen, China to do water piping work for a local primary school. This is to bring clean water to the school. The school has about 100 students. It is a meaningful way of spending your coming holiday. The students who have gone to the similar YEP in Sept 07 told us that they enjoyed themselves thoroughly in this village even though it was hard work!!!
