Do You Agree With IS Module?

Hey, what you guy think about IS module? shd our school stop or continue on it?

like myself, I think IS is not bad, but something really hate it, when it affect my GPA..

I think IS module is a waste of time. It's mostly general knowledge and common sense which we can learn from everyday interactions and observations with people. Personally I find IS interesting but it gets burdensome when I've to take time off doing assignments in my core modules to work on IS. Many of my classmates don't take their IS seriously and it's sad but speaking from the perspective of a year 3 student, IS was not what we went into poly for-it being supplementary to the course we chose. I doubt NP will do away with IS regardless of how much we complain about it.

my IS is... zhuo bo (do nth) kind. nth to learn. cher wont mark attendance. I am in event management, but cher tells us to do wad we like. We can event do health and lifestyles for all we like. Cos all we nid to do is to submit the required doc before deadline and carry out the activities. Den it's only a Pass or Fail in our report >_>

So, in short, waste of time.

my just slacks like siao. Cher tell us dun bother going to class at 8. (which the claass should be earliest is 9am. But pppl 10.30 den stroll in, chit chat, den 11 plus leave liao. LOL! and some dun appear, because there is no nid to. =x

I dun like IS because of the group work thingy... It kinda suxs when you are together with unknown people and try to make friends, trying to make friends is alrgiht, but some people really just slack and pull you down.

The good thing is if its individual like the Basic Jap, you get to study yourself and how you score depends on yourself but not others....

Thus group works suxs, but if you are with the right person its a wise choice

Sometimes I feel IS gets too much bad rep :X

When I was in first year I used to think IS waste time (CATS & IAC only,S&W and COMT not bad).

Then this term I get to do Self Expression Through Drama and Poetry, was damn fun :D
So don't go in with a biased mindset,and don't go choose those modules that you're damn good at, use this chance to try something new ;D

seriously i dislike and at times hate the IS modules. lol. i remember one sem where i could have actually gotten a 4.0 GPA but thanks to IS, i got pulled down. lol.

IS, as they say, are modules to develop life skills. i don't think i have learnt much though. =x

I kinda hate IS too, need to meet other days for doing projects and we're like busy till we drop already.
I prefer S&W but its not here yet! ComT is the worst lah! Write write and write, oral presentations and craps. It shall be renamed back to English Lessons.

Well I'm a slacker but I at least still did something.
I turned up for project meeting and stuffs.
My group got people failing to turn up every week for meeting.
And once never turn up for presentation on the day itself.
Screw it man. They should like let us choose our own group.
Let us interact for like 2-3 weeks already then let us choose our own group.
Or best just let us do in our own class. Why splitting us up into different classes leh?
